We are hiring a Diesel Mechanic!
Diesel Technician Level 3 will be responsible for conducting safety inspections, performing advanced repairs and maintenance on tractors and trailers, and performing curbside repair as needed while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring their optimal performance, and contributing to the overall success of our trucking operations.
Diesel Mechanic Primary responsibilities:
Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical issues in tractors and trailers.
Perform maintenance and repair on tractor/trailer to include:
o Work on suspension and king pins, bushings, and alignments. o Intermediate APU troubleshooting and repair
o Advanced HVAC repair
o Intermediate ABS troubleshooting and repairo Clutches
Maintain accurate records of all parts and services utilized in the repair and maintenance process.
Ensure complete vehicle records are maintained, including service history, inspections, and repairs.
Ensure all equipment adheres to state and federal regulations and requirements, making necessary
adjustments or repairs as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, proactively addressing potential problems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the mechanic shop, following all relevant
safety guidelines and protocols.
Perform necessary maintenance tasks on the facility and grounds as required to support efficient and safe
operations.
Interact professionally and courteously with drivers and operations staff, providing clear communication
regarding repair status and maintenance issues.
Diesel Mechanic Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles as necessary.
Demonstrate knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and various truck and trailer components.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Diesel Technician or in a similar role.
Relevant certifications in diesel technician or related fields are preferred (e.g., ASE certifications).
